Pay attention to this folks. Write your politicians, nag your spouses, irritate your friends. Make them think about and question this great global warming/climate change "crisis" being foisted upon us.

Congress
Braces For Global Warming Onslaught
(CNSNews.com) – A one-two punch in favor
of global warming legislation will land on Capitol Hill this week, with former
Vice President Al Gore’s testimony before House and Senate committees following
on the heels of an “action day” involving thousands of environmental
activists...

Gore is scheduled to testify before the House Committee on Energy and Commerce early Wednesday. The hearing entitled "Perspectives on Climate Change" will also feature Gore critic, Dr. Bjorn Lomborg, adjunct professor at the Copenhagen Consensus Center in Denmark and author of the controversial book "The Skeptical Environmentalist." Later in the day, the former vice president will testify again, this time before the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. No additional witnesses have yet been scheduled to testify.Myron Ebell, director of energy and global warming policy at the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI), sees serious flaws in the arguments used by proponents of human-induced global warming but does not question Gore's sincerity."Former Vice-President Gore truly believes that he has a mission, but he doesn't seem to think that the energy diet he is trying to force us to undertake should ever be forced on people like him," Ebell told Cybercast News Service in an email."I think he also truly believes that what he says is true, which is truly scary."

I think Gore believes he is on a crusade to save the world.. by any means necessary. And in believing that the ends will justify the means, he probably figures he's allowed certain exemptions and entitlements while on his quest.

Recently he's lost a lot of credibility with his irresponsible exaggerations and 'do as I say, not as I do' lifestyle. But up on Capitol Hill, I'm afraid none of that may matter.

It may be that Gore is still sore about losing the Presidential election and this is his way of seeking revenge and gaining power. He's certainly ambitious, I'll give him credit for that. I don't trust his motivations for a second.

I have hope that people will see through his charade and debunk the global warming mythology and derail the bandwagon that everyone has jumped aboard. When his ship goes down it will take a lot of others along with Big Al.

Or it may be that Myron Ebell is part of the Exxon lobby who selects his statements from a narrow range of fake scientists, and whose motivations and actions have been verified by authentic documents.

Not that I suppose anyone here is interested in the fact that they are being taken for a fool by a sophisticated PR campaign. Particularly if it gets in the way of some particularly silly speculation about Gore's motives.
